<p>on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, the delegation of Sylhet Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with the newly appointed Indian Assistant High Commissioner, Sylhet Mr. Chander Shekhar, had a courtesy meeting and bilateral exchange of views. Indian Assistant High Commissioner, Sylhet Mr. Chander Shekhar and Manas Kumar Mustafi, Second Secretary (Press, Information, Culture and Education) were present on behalf of Assistant Indian High Commission, Sylhet. 1st Vice President Abdul Jabbar Jalil, Director Huraira Iftar Hussain, Director Ajoy Kumar Dhar, Director Md. Johir Hussain and Chief Executive Officer Md .Zahangir Hossain were present on behalf of SMCCI. Meanwhile, the Indian Assistant High Commissioner, Sylhet thanked the members of the Board of Directors of SMCCI. SMCCI thanked the newly appointed Indian Assistant High Commissioner, Sylhet. Various issues including development of bilateral business and facilitation of Indian visa were discussed. Meanwhile, the Indian Assistant High Commissioner called upon the businessmen of Sylhet to invest in India including Seven Sisters. SMCCI 1st Vice President Abdul Jabbar Jalil urged Indian businessmen to invest in Sylhet. He said that the current government is a business-friendly government. He invited Indian investors to invest in various potential areas including the tourism sector of Sylhet. He called upon the businessmen of Sylhet to facilitate the business visa and tourist visa and to introduce the e-visa system.</p>
